Some of MGM'S musical stars review the studios history of musicals. From _Hollywood Revue of 1929, The (1929)_ (qv) to _Brigadoon (1954)_ (qv) , from the first musical talkies to 'Gene Kelly (I)' (qv) in _Singin' in the Rain (1952)_ (qv) , are examined.
