Sugar (2004)Synopsis:
Sugar is a survive-the-night thriller/coming of age drama that follows the character of Hailie, a 9 year old girl. Hailie leaves her suburban home and spends the night in the city in search of her mother, whom she believes to be kidnapped. Poignant, frightening and sometimes stangely funny, Sugar is propelled by intense yet watchable handheld videography, a stunning performance by Ashley Kaye, and a darkly pulsating trance / after hours electronica soundtrack.
